Welcome to myBenchNotes!
myBenchNotes is a digital showroom and logbook documenting a life lived at the intersection of strategy, and hardware. As an IT Professional with an academic background in Electronics Engineering, I've spent my career managing the "stack". This site is where I document what happens when those technical skills spill over into my personal interests. Whether I'm troubleshooting a defective monitor, optimizing my cycling cadence in the trails around Durham region, or calculating a mid-game gambit on the chessboard, everything here follows the same philosophy: Observe, Analyze, and Build.
What you'll find here:
- The Technical Lab: Documentation of my DIY electronics projects, ESP32 builds, and Home Assistant automations. If there's a circuit to be traced or a script to be written, it's here.
- The Peloton: Notes from the saddle of my Canyon Ultimate. Expect gear reviews, training data from the ThinkRider, and ride logs from the local routes.
- 64 Squares: A space for chess analysis and tournament reflections. A place to study the "software" of the mind.
- The Atlas: Logs from my travels-capturing the logistics and the stories from road.
